Monday started quiet busy that’s why lunch was kind of ‘fast food’. Fast food in meaning of preparation but don’t worry no McDonald’s 😉
While doing groceries last week I came across this Quinoa Bowl and since it was on sale I decided to give it a try.
I added some mushrooms and Black Bean Burger (that I had in my freezer) and topped it with Raw Mayonnaise, avocado and tomato. I like to keep some frozen meals in my freezer for days like this. When I don’t have time or just don’t feel like cooking. Instead of ordering food or eating something unhealthy I can have a quick and healthy meal. Buy some frozen veggies and meals and keep it handy it’s a great way to stay from unhealthy foods!
After finishing lunch and all errands I went for a afternoon swim and snacked on pears and kiwi.
For dinner I made delicious pasta! Recipe is coming soon! You will love it, it’s comforting and so easy to make.
Tuesday was all about juices and tennis. The bigger one is of course mine, and the smaller one is my husband’s (one step at the time, for someone who doesn’t eat veggies nor fruits it’s actually a big step ;))
I feel Fall/Halloween fever! And I’m all in. I’ve changed already all my decorations at home to match my Halloween spirit 😉
The weather today was also feeling Fall, with short showers and cloudy sky. Even though by looking out of my window I didn’t feel like leaving the house, kind of stay under a blanket with a book day, I managed tot squeeze short swim. It felt great!
For dinner I made the most delicious soup I’ve had in a long time! Thai Red Curry Soup with Marinated Mushrooms – I couldn’t get enough of it!
In case you are wondering the other plate is my husband’s – Mongolian Beef with rice. And yes, I made it. I don’t have any issues with preparing meat dishes for others. I think it’s your personal choice what do you eat. I’ve never asked him to stop eating meat and I won’t ever ask (neither he asked me to start eating meat). We respect our choices. I share all my knowledge about meat consumption and what does it carry with it and what someone will do with it it’s there choice.
Time for breakfast smoothie and first run this week – spontaneous 10k!
I was planning on running a longer distance but my stomach felt upset and I decided it smart to shorten the distance. The rest of the day I spent on resting with a book and tea.
My stomach still felt like it fully recovered, that’s why Friday was all about drinking juices and cuddling with my boys.
I wanted to go for a whole day on juices only because I felt like that’s the only kind of food my stomach can handle. Unfortunetly I failed 😉 And dinner was a normal meal but I drank juices most of the day and felt much better. I am actually planning on doing juicing, for now it would be one day with possibility to expand it to longer period of time later on.
Weekend was soo lazy I don’t even what to write about it 😉 We went shopping to get Housewarming gift for our friends and of course I couldn’t leave without buying anything for myself. I found those plates and I thought they will be perfect for Thanksgiving dinner!
I managed to squeeze some running and swimming between my laziness 😉
My run wasn’t the best. From the beginning everything was wrong, my headphones died, I was out of my gel, so I decided I will take a bar instead – not the best idea, my water got so warm it wasn’t refreshing at all… I still managed to do almost 9 miles but I can’t say I enjoyed it.
I ordered Insulated Hydration Belt and I hope it will work better in warm weather!
This week’s weather was a bit strange. Starting with rainy, cloudy days and finishing with sunny and warm (80F) weekend.
